LGC&D encourages its employees to play an active role in the community. Each year, the firm is a sponsor to many benefits and professional organizations and functions and empowers its employees to become involved in organizations and causes that are important to the communities where we live and work. LGC&D believes that making a difference in the community counts!

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk : In October 2006, LGC&D started an annual tradition of participating in American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. The support from employees, friends and family was overwhelming. In the two years we have participated in this walk, the Firm's employees, family and friends raised over $11,000. For more information about Making Strides Against Breast Caner, or to see how you can get involved, please visit www.cancer.org.
Founder's Day:
Each year, a number of LGC&D employees put on their aprons, roll up their sleeves and volunteer their
time at a local church preparing food on the day before Thanksgiving. The church provides a Thanksgiving Day meal for those less fortunate. In 2006, over 30 employees participated in the meal preparation. We have found that it's a great way to contribute to the community and have a little fun at the same time.

Mini-Golf Fundraiser: One of the firm's not-for-profit clients, Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island, held a miniature golf fundraiser. The firm sponsored its employees and family members for a round of mini-golf on what turned out to be a beautiful summer evening. What a great way to unwind after a day at the office!
Go Red for Women Campaign: For the past several years, the firm and its
employees have raised several thousand dollars for the American Heart Association during their annual Go Red for Women campaign. It has become a great way to raise awareness of the No. 1 killer of women in the United States. Upon the conclusion of the month long campaign, we share a heart-healthy lunch together.

Food Drive : In December 2006 and then again in August 2007, LGC&D's C.A.R.E. (Committee for the Activities and Retention of Employees) organized a food drive to benefit the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. Between the two drives, we have collected over 400 lbs. of non-perishable items for the Food Bank.
